Acupuncture Home Visit

Common Questions:

Can you come to me?

My range of visit is within 1 mile radius of Columbia Heights. PM if you reside further and we can work something.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time.

Is acupuncture all you provide?
In addition to acupuncture, I provide wellness coaching, Chinese dietary therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, and Asian adjunct therapies (cupping, gua sha, tui na) all on an as-needed basis, incorporated into your acupuncture session.

Why home visits vs clinic-care?

The model of mobile treatment is designed to simplify the accessibility of healthcare to the individual. In a busy city like DC, people do not often have the luxury to be able to travel, park, or even accommodate time for their healthcare. It is expensive to park, time-consuming and often frustrating to travel. By coming to you, you are able to not simply able to approach your health outside of the daily work grind, but you are able to do so in the comfort of your own home, which is a necessary place of respite and slowing down. In a clinic, I have found clients tend to schedule acupuncture within several other events they have squeezed into their day. In this model, you don’t have to necessarily feel like you’re adding yet another place to have to keep track of and schedule.

How does the home visit work/ what should I expect/how should I prepare?

As we are trying to simplify the treatment process and context, all that is really required from you is to have a relatively quiet and comfortable place where you can lie down for an extended period of time (treatments last for about 45 mins to an hour). This can range from your couch, to your bed, to your floor with a couple layers of blankets. We will talk for about 10-15 mins, I will take your pulse and look at your tongue, and we will get you situated and get to the treatment. And then I will depart.

Rate of Service:

Treatments are $65/hr + a base travel cost of $10-$20 depending on proximity.
